Information about the ski bridge at Vemdalsskalet

We are pleased to announce that, in close collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), we have found a solution for the ski bridge over road 315 between Hovde and Hildings Backe at Vemdalsskalet.

A temporary bridge has been installed, but the final permit issued by the Swedish Transport Administration to use the ski bridge is not yet ready, which means that it cannot be put into operation yet. We will return with more information as soon as we know more and have a date when the bridge is expected to be in operation.

What happened to the ski bridge?

The former bridge sustained extensive damage when a heavy vehicle struck the structure on 7 January, which led the Swedish Transport Administration to remove the bridge for safety reasons. As a result, Hildings Backe has remained closed until a solution could be secured.

We continue to work closely with the Swedish Transport Administration to ensure everything is completed as quickly and safely as possible.

Other parts of the ski area are not affected, as the bridge between Väst Express and Pass Express continues to connect the areas.
