Tomorrow is the day of Skutskjutet, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary! This year, the event will take place in the Sadel area in Björnen. The Stjärnliften (Å30), Fjällgårdsexpress (Å34), Sadelexpress (B37), Vargliften (B42), and Björnenliften (B40) open at 7:00 AM. A shuttle bus runs between the Gondola (Å29) and Björnen from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. We recommend leaving your car at home, as parking may be limited. Take the Sadelexpress (B37); the starting point is a short way down Fröåsvängen (106) and the finish is above Hermelinliften (B38). Awards ceremony at Åre Torg at 4:00 PM. If you haven’t registered yet, you can still sign up at the Hanson Concept Store today until 7:00 PM.
The snowpack on our runs has refrozen this morning in the High Zone and is slightly softer in the Low Zone. During the day, the surface will soften due to the spring warmth and sunshine. Some sections in the Low Zone may have an uneven surface, and unmarked obstacles may be present. Some natural snow slopes, transport trails, and lift tracks are unprepared due to a thin snow cover. Please keep your distance from others and adjust your speed. Be mindful of yourself and others.
Preparation is underway in the finish area of the Downhill Low Zone (56) ahead of the Red Bull Unrealistic Invitational. To reach VM8 (Å22) from the parking lot on E14, walk through the tunnel by the road.
Unfortunately, we have had to close the cross-country trails in Björnen due to thin snow cover. Cross-country trails in Ullådalen are open.
