Trysil is a strong choice if you want to get the season started early. At Trysilfjellet Arena, you can start the season early with an early season start for cross-country skiing, on stored snow and with prepared trails for both classic style and skating.

- Sälen: Cross-Country Arenas in Lindvallen, Tandådalen and Hundfjället, as well as several other cross-country trails in the area.
- Åre: Cross-Country Arenas in Björnen and Duved, as well as cross-country trails in Åre village and Ullådalen.
- Vemdalen: Cross-Country Arena in Björnrike and several cross-country and touring trails around the area.
- Trysil: A large network of prepared cross-country trails in mountain terrain and forest, with an early season start at Trysilfjellet Arena.
- Hemsedal: Cross-country trails connected to Hemsedal Skisenter, with trails running both east and west from the ski area.
Passes, equipment and trail status
For SkiStar Cross-Country Arena, you need a valid Cross-CountryPass. You can also rent cross-country equipment and book private lessons if you want to get started or improve your technique in classic style or skating.
Many guests choose to travel to the mountains with their dog. If your dog is joining you on the cross-country trails, it is important to check the local rules, keep your dog on a lead and always clean up after it.
