Travel by air

Åre Östersund Airport is around 120 km from Vemdalen and is the main airport for the destination. Härjedalen Sveg Airport is closer, at around 70 km, but has fewer flight connections. From either airport, continue by transfer, taxi, bus or hire car.

Travel by train

During the winter season, Snälltåget travels towards Vemdalen via Röjan, with connecting transfer to the ski areas included on the relevant journeys. Östersund is another useful rail hub, with buses continuing towards Vemdalen.

Travel by car

Driving gives you flexibility during your stay, particularly if you are bringing plenty of luggage or ski equipment. From Finland and continental Europe, ferry travel can also form part of the journey.
