Vemdalen is the mountain gem of Härjedalen – a beloved ski destination in the Härjedalen region, known for its beautiful nature and authentic mountain atmosphere. Vemdalen was named Mountain Resort of the Year by Swedish travelers.

The ski destination for those who love skiing and nature

Vemdalen consists of three ski areas:
  • Vemdalsskalet – the heart of the destination. A picturesque mountain village with express lifts, sports shops, and restaurants surrounding Skalets Square.
  • Björnrike – sunny and family-friendly with a large children's area, Snow Park, and long, wide slopes. Even experienced skiers will find challenges that put their legs to the test.
  • Klövsjö/Storhogna – quieter and more nature-oriented, often called “the skier’s ski resort.” Here you'll find steep slopes, long runs, and a harmonious pace that attracts both alpine enthusiasts and cross-country skiers.

With a shared SkiPass, it's easy to switch between areas and tailor your ski holiday to the weather, your mood, and your preferences. Thanks to modern lifts, well-maintained slopes, and snow-safe winters, the season stretches from November all the way into April.
