SkiStar Sälen consists of four unique ski areas. From family-friendly slopes in Lindvallen to challenging pistes in Tandådalen, charming Högfjället and welcoming Hundfjället – each area has its own character and offers a unique experience.

Lindvallen – Europe’s Largest Area for Children and Beginners

Lindvallen is the heart of SkiStar Sälen and offers one of Europe’s largest interconnected areas for children and beginners. Here you’ll find Valleberget, a magical ski zone with conveyor belts, button lifts and ski school – all designed to make skiing fun and safe for the little ones.
Don’t miss Magic Mountain – evening skiing with a light show at Valleberget that enchants both young and old.
In Lindvallen, you can ski right up to the doors of SkiStar Lodge and step into Lodgebaren for a warming cup of hot chocolate.

Hundfjället – The Trolls’ Magical World

Hundfjället is a true family favorite with varied slopes facing multiple directions. If you’re staying at SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället, skiing is just outside your door.
Hundfjället is also home to Trollskogen – a fairytale forest run filled with wooden figures, mythical creatures and playful obstacles. Perfect for kids who want to combine skiing with adventure and imagination.

Högfjället – Affordable and Easygoing

Högfjället is the smallest and most budget-friendly ski area in Sälen. Green and blue slopes dominate here, making it an excellent choice for beginners and families seeking a more relaxed skiing experience. New this season is a low-cost SkiPass valid only for Högfjället – starting at just SEK 295/day.
Högfjället proudly features the classic Högfjällshotellet, widely known for its fine restaurants, après-ski and nightclub.

Tandådalen – Challenges for the Whole Family

Tandådalen offers both challenging pistes and a calmer east side (called Östra Tandådalen) with wide carving slopes. There’s also a large Snow Park for older kids and teens who want to try jumps and rails.

Activities Beyond the Slopes

After a day on the mountain, the whole family can unwind at Experium in Lindvallen – an adventure center with water park, bowling, spa and restaurants.

  • SkiStar Snow Parks in Sälen

    In SkiStar Snow Parks Sälen there are park rides for everyone regardless of level and age. The large snow park area is located in Tandådalen. In Lindvallen there's a smaller, more basic snow park.
