Högfjället is our smallest destination in Sälen. Most slopes are green and blue, and you can get to Lindvallen ski area by lift. Högfjället is also home to Sälens Högfjällshotell, which offers three restaurants in the White Guide, several bars and a nightclub.
Staying in Högfjället
The Högfjället offers classic hotel rooms and well-equipped apartments at Sälens Högfjällshotell. There is also a small hotel called the Gammelgården. For those who prefer to stay in their own cabin, there are a large number of authentic cabins with mountain charm.
Skiing at Högfjället
Three T-bar lifts head to the summit of Högfjället, while on the other side the children's lifts run up towards the hotel, and all the skislopes lead to the same place. Theski slopes are wide and boast plenty of room for sweeping carving turns. You can also take the lift to the ski resort of Lindvallen.
Children's Area at Högfjället
On the sunny side, below the Högfjällshotell, is the children's area, with several button lifts, conveyor belts and simple slopes. Here you will also find the adventure area Knattesvängen, which features tunnels and funny characters.
