Reduced CO2 emissions

In 2015, we were pioneers when we began to transition from fossil fuels to the renewable diesel HVO100, also known as biofuel. Today, all our piste machines at our facilities in both Sweden and Norway are driven by HVO100.

Thanks to the fact that all piste machines are now powered by renewable fuels, we have reduced our carbon emissions by more than half (67%) in our operations.

As well as making our piste machines even more efficient, all piste machines now have snow depth sensors with GPS. This allows them to produce the right amount of snow in the right places. If you want to know more about snow production, read here.

91% of our vehicles are powered by renewable sources

In the last year (2022/23), we have reduced our diesel consumption by 35% and reduced our gasoline consumption by 7%. The reduction in fossil fuels is due to the transition to HVO100 and electrified vehicles.

91% of our vehicle fleet was powered by renewable fuels in 2022/23. For the remaining 9%, we are working strategically to switch to e.g. electric snowmobiles.

The next step after renewable fuels will be electric vehicles.
