New: Scandinavia’s best snow guarantee

Everything starts with snow – and now we promise the best snow guarantee in all of Scandinavia. Whether you’ve booked your ski holiday in magical March or for a sparkling Christmas break, the corduroy is perfectly groomed every morning. With us, you book with confidence – and ski with a smile all winter long.

Perfectly groomed slopes - all winter long

What does the best snow guarantee mean? It means you’re guaranteed the highest number of open slopes when you book with us. For example, we guarantee at least 30 open slopes in both Sälen and Åre – double compared to previous years and the most in Scandinavia. We’ve also extended the period for free cancellation and rebooking during the early and late season.

Early bird discount: 20% off selected accommodation and 10% off SkiPass. Book with discount

With up to 500 new snow cannons across our destinations, we secure the 2026/27 winter season. More slopes open earlier – and stay open longer.

Snow-sure highlights:

  • 140 new snow cannons in Sälen
  • 60 new snow cannons in Trysil
  • 51 new snow cannons in Åre
  • 202 new snow cannons in Vemdalen
  • 13 new snow cannons in Hemsedal

How the Alpine Snow Guarantee Works

Our ski resorts all have unique geographical locations with different conditions. If the ski resort you booked your trip to does not meet the Alpine Snow Guarantee, you can choose to rebook to another of our ski resorts.

For winter 2026/27, we are doubling the total number of open slopes covered by the alpine snow guarantee. The snow guarantee applies from 18 December 2026 to 4 April 2027.

Guaranteed minimum – number of open slopes

We guarantee the following minimum number of open slopes during this period:

  • Sälen
At least 30 (previously 15) open slopes, in total across Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen, and Hundfjället.
  • Åre
At least 30 (previously 10) open slopes, in total across Duved, Åre village, and Björnen.
  • Vemdalen
At least 20 (previously 8) open slopes, in total across Björnrike, Vemdalsskalet, and Klövsjö/Storhogna.
  • Hemsedal
At least 13 (previously 9) open slopes.
  • Trysil
At least 15 (previously 10) open slopes.

Status of open slopes and lifts as well as other important information during your stay can easily be found in the SkiStar app.

What happens if the Snow Guarantee is not fulfilled?

If we cannot deliver the promised alpine ski product, you have the right to cancel or interrupt your stay and get your money back. This applies until 11:00 the day after arrival.

We refund the products you have booked via SkiStar, including:

  • SkiPass
  • Ski rental
  • Ski school
  • Accommodation
  • Cancellation and rebooking protection

Please note: The Alpine Snow Guarantee does not apply to temporarily closed lifts or slopes due to, for example, technical problems or bad weather.
