Disc golf in Sälen

Above SkiStar Lodge Lindvallen lies a 9-basket disc golf course in hilly terrain along the slopes.

Challenge family and friends to a round of disc golf in Lindvallen. The first tee is at the Svalan L9 lift at Valleberget. Children up to 6 years old play for free in the company of adults. You can hire discs at SkiStar Lodge Lindvallen or at the ski rental at the foot of SummerSki. 

Basic rules of disc golf

The aim is to get the disc to rest inside the basket with as few throws as possible. Remember to show consideration for your surroundings, both in terms of other players, other people, plants and wildlife. Do not throw if there is the slightest risk of hitting animals or other people with your disc. Nature is part of the game, but any bending or breaking of branches or small trees is forbidden.

• The throw order of the first hole is drawn.
• The first throw of each hole is thrown from the designated throwing area.
• After teeing off, the player whose disc is farthest from the hole always throws first regardless of whether the same player ends up throwing first several times in a row.
• When throwing, place your front foot where the disc landed.
• For throws that land more than 10 metres from the basket, a normal follow-through is allowed after the hand has released the disc.This is known as a backward swing. When throws land closer to the basket than 10 metres, you are not allowed to follow through after the disc has been released as this counts as overstepping and may result in a penalty throw in case of repetition.
• All throws are counted until the disc rests inside the basket.
• On the next hole, the one with the lowest number of throws on the previous hole throws first.
• The player with the lowest number of throws after the last hole on the fairway has won.
