Combine your days on the slopes with a long-distance training session and add in some fantastic cross-country skiing. Connected to our ski slopes are cross-country ski trails for those who want to add in a training session after a day on the slopes. Many areas also have illuminated trails.

Cross-country skiing for everyone

SkiStar’s Sälen, Åre, Vemdalen, Trysil and Hemsedal destinations boast over 50 cross-country tracks suitable for all levels - from beginners to intermediate and elite skiers.

The tracks are maintained by a number of individuals and corporations and are regularly tracked/turned.

In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing in our SkiStar Cross-Country Arenas. You’ll find these in Åre, Sälen and Vemdalen.

    Vemdalen offers an extensive trail network with groomed cross-country tracks in both alpine terrain and forested areas. The trails are maintained regularly to ensure good conditions throughout the season and are located close to the ski areas.
