Easy Rider – Åre's iconic bike trail

Easy Rider is a unique downhill trail approximately 5 kilometres long, starting at the Kabinbanan mountain station. It has long been a hallmark of Åre Bike Park and a trail that everyone who visits Åre wants to cycle.

The trail has reopened after renovation

Over the years, the ground has eroded and the trail has become increasingly difficult to cycle. Especially up in the mountains, the trail is exposed to a lot of wind and weather. Easy Rider was in need of a major overhaul.

"Last summer (2024), we invested a lot of time and money in a complete renovation with the main focus on making the trail “blue” again. We were incredibly pleased with the result and were able to open it just in time for the midnight cycling event at the Åre Bike Festival. We are now receiving a lot of praise for how the trail looks today," says Jesper Andersson, guest relations manager at Skistar Åre.

Easy Rider is a blue trail again

Easy Rider is now a blue trail again, making it possible to cycle blue trails from the Kabin mountain station all the way to VM8 or the Stjärnliften valley station. This gives a 900-metre drop and a total of 10 kilometres of blue downhill cycling, which is unique in Scandinavia.
