Trysil is around 210 km from Oslo and only 40 km from Scandinavian Mountains Airport. The best way to travel depends on where your journey begins, and from winter 2026/27 there is also a new way to combine train travel with an included transfer to Trysil.

New: Snälltåget to Trysil with transfer in Oslo

Snälltåget runs from Copenhagen through southern and western Sweden directly to Oslo. From there, an included coach transfer continues to Trysil. Train and transfer can be booked together with SkiStar, making the journey easy to plan in one place.

Fly close to Trysil

If a direct flight to Scandinavian Mountains Airport is available from your departure point, flying leaves only around 40 minutes of transfer to Trysil. Oslo Airport is another useful gateway, with a direct coach connection to the resort.

Travel with your own car

Travelling by car gives you more flexibility and space for luggage and ski equipment. If you are driving from continental Europe or Finland, a ferry can form a convenient part of the journey to Norway or Sweden.
