Arrival and departure in Trysil

Arriving in Trysil before check-in, or have a few hours to spare after check-out? Find information about luggage storage, SkiPass, ski hire, taxis and what to do while you wait.

Arriving in Trysil before check-in?

If you arrive before your accommodation is ready, you do not have to wait for your holiday to begin. Leave your luggage where storage is available, sort out your SkiPass and ski equipment, head out onto the slopes or use the time to eat, shop and get to know the area.

Your check-in time and information about where and how to check in are available on My Page. Bear in mind that your check-in point, luggage storage and accommodation may not all be in the same place.

Luggage storage and changing

SkiStar’s luggage storage in Trysil is located at the Welcome Centre at Turistsenteret. You can leave luggage here before check-in or after check-out. There are no changing rooms or cloakroom facilities connected to the luggage storage.

There is no equivalent SkiStar luggage storage at Høyfjellssenteret. Radisson Blu Resort Trysil at Turistsenteret and SkiStar Lodge Trysil at Høyfjellssenteret have their own luggage storage arrangements for staying guests. Contact your hotel in advance to check what is available.

Want to start skiing straight away?

If you have sorted your luggage and pre-booked your SkiPass and ski hire, you can complete the final steps on arrival and head onto the slopes before check-in. Check your booking to see which ski hire or pick-up location you should collect your equipment from. Rental equipment is not delivered to cabins.

If you have not pre-booked, visit a ski hire shop to rent equipment and buy or top up your SkiPass in the SkiStar app. You will also find your bookings and other useful information there throughout your stay.

What can you do while you wait?

If you have some time before check-in, you may want to head somewhere warm. Heated rest areas are easy to find on the interactive map in the app. You can also use the map to find restaurants, shops, services, lifts and activities and plan the rest of your stay.

You can also prepare for your ski day in SkiStar Game. Add the people you are travelling with and agree on a meeting point in the ski area. That way everyone knows where to meet if you become separated during the day.

Turistsenteret

Turistsenteret is located on the southern side of the mountain. Here you will find information, ski hire, several restaurants and Radisson Blu Resort Trysil, which offers facilities including bowling, a pool and spa. There is also a centrally located heated rest area and grocery shop nearby.

Høyfjellssenteret

Høyfjellssenteret is located in Fageråsen, high up on Trysilfjellet. Here you will find ski hire, SkiStarshops, restaurants, a grocery shop and other services. SkiStar Lodge Trysil also has restaurants and a spa.

When it is time to check in

Check My Page to see where to check in and how to continue to your accommodation. Distances can be longer than they appear on the map, particularly if you need to collect luggage first.

During the winter season, you can use SkiStar Bus in Trysil to travel between different areas. The bus is free with a valid SkiPass, which also serves as your ticket.

Have time to spare after check-out?

If you have a late coach, transfer or other journey home, the day does not have to end when you check out. If you need to leave your luggage, the same storage options apply as before check-in. You can then use your remaining time for skiing, lunch, shopping or something else in the area.

Getting to your departure point

Check well in advance where your coach, transfer or other transport departs from. If you need to travel between your accommodation, luggage storage and departure point, SkiStar Bus or a taxi may be useful.
