Easter in Åre 2026
Easter in Åre offers everything from events and activities to spring skiing and experiences with friends and family – all in one place.
This is Easter in Åre
Åre is known for its vibrant atmosphere, and at Easter, one of the most popular periods of the year, the energy reaches its absolute peak. Spring skiing across large, connected ski areas meets competitions, activities, and a lively buzz that flows from the slopes all the way down into the village.
A day can begin high up on Åreskutan with wide-open views and crisp mountain air, and continue with runs on spring snow down towards a sunny spot, a restaurant, or further into village life. It is this closeness between mountain and village that makes Easter in Åre special.
Competitions, challenges and action
During Easter, Åre raises the pace even further with spectator-friendly competitions and activities on the slopes, where both participants and onlookers are part of the atmosphere.
- Red Bull Homerun – a high-energy race with a mass start high on the mountain and full speed down towards the village, and one of Easter’s most spectator-friendly experiences.
- Oakley Jib Academy – for children and young people who want to develop their park skills alongside instructors.
- Several challenges and activities take place around the area throughout the week.
Easter for children in Åre
Children have their own Easter programme in Åre, where Valle appears during the week, inviting everyone to join in with play, movement, and activities that make the mountain a place for fun and new friendships.
During Easter there are also partner activities such as the Kexchoklad Hunt and Kexchoklad Challenge, playful challenges around the area. More information on how to take part is available on site and through our channels.
Organised activities for families run throughout the week, from playful challenges to competitions in the ski area, and many activities take place outdoors so the whole family can join in.
Après-ski and village life
As the ski day winds down, the energy continues in Åre village. Restaurants and meeting spots fill with après-ski, DJs, and live music, and the atmosphere naturally moves from the slopes down into the village.
Events such as THIS IS TIMMERSTUGAN bring together skiers and spectators right in the centre of the village and are a natural part of Easter week in Åre.
