You must be at least 16 years of age to work with us at SkiStar. Some positions have different age requirements, in which case this will be stated in the advertisement. To rent staff accommodation from us, we require you to be at least 18 years old.

We have an average age of 28, where the majority is between 20-29. The staff consists of 51% men and 49% women. We strive to achieve a 50/50 split in our departments as we see that a more even split and diversity makes for better functioning work teams.

The summer season starts in June and ends in September and the winter season starts in early December and ends in April.

Vacancies are always advertised on our career page, with often ongoing processes all year round. In terms of seasonal operations, the application period for the winter season opens in August. Before the summer season, the application period opens in February.

As many as you like, but we recommend that you apply for the jobs that interest you most and where you can make the best use of your experience, skills and interests. Search for the right job and develop your application and give us a picture of who you are instead of searching for lots of jobs.

Some of our services require training within this profession. For some jobs it is a prerequisite and for some it is an advantage. We often arrange training before the start of the season, in which case the training is not a requirement for job searching. This may be e.g. ski instructor training. We read all applications and candidates who are considered for an interview receive an invitation. We usually perform the interviews digitally.

At SkiStar we have different types of interview processes. Before seasonal work, we usually conduct group weeks, where you participate with other candidates and then have a personalised atmosphere.

In other processes, we perform personal interviews in several steps depending on the type of service.

We are working on an ongoing basis during the application process, but you can expect a message by the latest by the last day of application.

At the time of the interview, you will receive more information about the timetable and when you can expect a message.

It is impossible to answer, but we aim to create a wide variety in our business areas that apply to age, gender, ethnic background, interests and personality. We often have many who have worked with us before and want to come back, so we build our working team based on the returning staff and the needs that exist to build the best working team as possible!

We match candidates against the requirements and prerequisites associated with each job. It is important to read the advertisement carefully and search for jobs that best match your skills and previous experience.

The winter season kicks off at Christmas, but introductions and training will take place before that. The majority of winter services start in the period end of November - mid-December.

At the interview, you will receive more information about the requirements for the position you have applied for. The summer season starts at Midsummer and the introductions take place in mid-June.

It is important for us to create a safe workplace for our employees and a safe experience for our guests, which is why we conduct continuous drug and alcohol testing of our employees.

Introduction involves information and training to give you the right conditions to be able to perform the job in the best possible way. The introduction takes place both digitally via online training and also physically at locations at the destination.

You will get your contract ahead of your employment in good time before you start working. We often use electronic signature which informs and makes the process faster and smoother.

We are collectively affiliated to the HRF agreement as far as our collective employees are also affiliated to an agreement with the Union as far as our employees are concerned.

Operating hours differ between the different business areas, but most work according to our opening hours in the resort.

Yes, if you are at least 18 years old, you can rent Personal Accommodation. The rental cost varies between 3000-6000kr/month. The availability and size of our staff lodgings differ at our destination. Most lodgings are collective lodgings where you share with others. We would like you to have your own lodgings, as we cannot offer staff accommodation to everyone.

It is an advantage to have an interest in biking/skiing and outdoor activities as our vision is to "create memorable mountain experiences" for our guests.

Yes, for many of our services. As 75 % of our guests come from Scandinavia, you must be able to make yourself understood in one of our Scandinavian languages, Swedish, Norwegian or Danish. However, being multilingual is a great asset. Specific language requirements are stated in the advertisement.

A driving licence is not a requirement except for some services, but a good thing to have as our destination is quite extensive.
