What’s new in Hemsedal this winter
For winter 2026/27, Hemsedal is strengthening both snowmaking and the snow guarantee. With 13 new snow guns and at least 13 guaranteed open slopes, you can plan your ski holiday with greater peace of mind.
Improved snowmaking capacity
Hemsedal is getting 13 new snow guns for winter 2026/27. This increases snowmaking capacity and strengthens our ability to provide good conditions throughout the winter season.
The investment will help provide more reliable conditions on the slopes, particularly early in the season and ahead of the Christmas and New Year period.
Improved snow guarantee – at least 13 open slopes
The Alpine Snow Guarantee is being strengthened for winter 2026/27. In Hemsedal, we guarantee at least 13 open slopes from 18 December 2026 up to and including 4 April 2027.
If Hemsedal is unable to provide the promised alpine ski product, you have the right to cancel or end your stay and receive a refund.
*The Snow Guarantee does not apply to lifts or slopes that are temporarily closed due to technical problems, severe weather or similar circumstances.

Welcome to SkiStar Lodge Hemsedal
You'll be staying in the heart of Hemsedal right at the foot of the ski slopes. Directly outside the entrance is the new express lift Lodge Express where there is also a children's area with a ski school. The hotel offers a playroom, several restaurants and bars, a climbing wall and shopping. Here you can select from spacious hotel rooms to high standard apartments. Parking in the garage is available for a fee.
