News in Åre winter 2025/2026

No less than four exciting new features are coming for the winter season 2025/2026! A new lift will be built, a new restaurant and warming hut will open and more lighting will be installed.

Four big news for next winter

For the winter of 2025/2026, we have four exciting news to tell you about.

New warming hut in Duved

Right next to Hamreliften, we are putting up a building that during the day is a warming hut with a toilet. In the evening, it will serve as a clubhouse for young people in the association who compete and train.

More lighting and longer opening hours

Next year, we want to illuminate the entire ski area from Högåsliften all the way to Copperhill and Järvliften. We're doing this to create more time and space for skiing and to be able to offer longer and more flexible opening hours - obviously with the lowest possible electricity consumption in mind.

A new restaurant in Sadeln

A new restaurant will be built and opened in Sadeln for the 2025/2026 winter season, at the Fröåsvängen/Hermelinbacken junction near the Hermelinen valley station. It will be a restaurant with an evening menu, lunch and après-ski, and a large outdoor terrace.

It will be run by STP Restauranger, which currently also runs Broken, Timmerstugan and Åregården, among others.

New Getval lift

The new lift will be built during the summer of 2025 and be in operation for the winter season 2025/2026. The Getval lift is a drag lift/anchor lift that relieves and wind-proofs Sadelexpress and thus creates a new route from Björnen to the centre of Åre. It will be great skiing and fantastic views!
