Current information about the coronavirus

This winter, we have reviewed routines and made adjustments so that you can enjoy your skiing holiday in a safe and secure environment.

There will be extra focus on safety and security this season for guests and staff, and we will take all possible measures to make your stay with us as safe as possible. Our obvious goal is to give you a memorable winter holiday with good conditions for great skiing, but with the proviso that it will be a little different this year.

Pre-book your products

This season, we want to highlight the importance of pre-booking your SkiPass, ski rental and ski school. By doing so, you can help us minimise queues and congestion. You can always book SkiPass, ski rental and ski school up to the day before you want to use them, making it convenient in many ways.

New pandemic law in Sweden

The new pandemic law will enter into force on Sunday 10 January. This does not affect the operation of SkiStar ski resorts or our outdoor environments, but we will take the following measures:

  • Heated shelters will be closed in Sälen, Vemdalen and Åre. They will be open in certain instances where possible, so that you can use the toilets, but there will be no access to the heated shelter itself. Our heated shelters selling goods are still open and follow the same rules and recommendations as restaurants, i.e. 4 people per table.
  • Our SkiStarshops and stores already have a maximum number system, but we are reviewing to ensure that the rules are complied with.

The number of guests in our lodging properties is not affected by this law, but it is your responsibility to travel responsibly and only socialising within your own social bubble.
