Digital key

With a digital key in the SkiStar app, you can unlock your accommodation directly from your phone. How you access your key depends on how your accommodation was booked.

Did you book your accommodation directly with SkiStar?

Get started with the SkiStar app

Download the SkiStar app and sign in with your SkiStar account. If you do not already have an account, you can easily create one in the app.

Find your booking

If you made the booking through your SkiStar account, it will appear under Bookings in the app. Here you can find information about your accommodation and booking, as well as your digital key once it has been activated.

Check in

When your accommodation is ready for check-in, you will receive an SMS. Your digital key will then be activated automatically in the SkiStar app and will be ready to use.

Did you book through a group, conference or travel agency?

Activate your booking

Before arrival, you will receive an SMS with a link to your digital key. Download the SkiStar app if you do not already have it, then follow the link in the SMS and verify your identity as instructed in the app.

Once verification is complete, the booking will be linked to your SkiStar account and will appear under Bookings in the app.

Check in

When your accommodation is ready for check-in, you will receive another SMS. Your digital key will then be added automatically to the app and will be ready to use.

Share your digital key

If other members of your group need access to the accommodation, select Invite others in the app and enter their email addresses. Anyone you invite will need the SkiStar app and a SkiStar account to receive the key.

Unlock the door with your phone

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Open your digital key in the SkiStar app, tap the key symbol and hold your phone close to the lock. The door will unlock automatically.

Tip: Make sure everyone in your group who needs their own key has downloaded the SkiStar app and created an account before arrival.
