Trysil ski area
Trysil is Norway's largest ski resort with 69 ski slopes and 41 lifts, three large children's areas, and several Snow Parks. A total of 81 km of groomed slopes.
Skiing in Trysil
Trysilfjellet consists of four connected ski areas: Turistsenteret, Høyfjellssenteret, Høgegga and Skihytta. The areas are linked by lifts and slopes, but each has its own character. Some are best suited to families and beginners, while others are better for those who want more speed, steeper slopes or quieter surroundings.
Turistsenteret
Turistsenteret is located on the south side of Trysilfjellet and is the most central area in Trysil. Here you will find long, wide ski slopes in several difficulty levels, the Eventyr activity area, SkiStar Snow Park Trysil, Fun Ride, the gondola, ski rental, restaurants, shops and much of the activity at the destination.
The area is well suited to families, first-time visitors and those who want a short distance between accommodation, skiing and services. If you want to stay close to this area, you can see accommodation at Turistsenteret.
Høyfjellssenteret and Fageråsen
Høyfjellssenteret is located on the north side of Trysilfjellet, in Fageråsen. Here you will find many green slopes, several red slopes, Fun Ride, children’s areas, ski school, ski rental, restaurants and services. The area has a calmer high-mountain feel than Turistsenteret, while still offering many facilities in one place.
This is a good choice for families with children and guests who want to stay high up, close to slopes and with easy access to Høyfjellssenteret, Fageråsen Panorama and SkiStar Lodge Trysil. See accommodation in Fageråsen if you want to stay in this part of the mountain.
Høgegga
Høgegga is the steepest area in Trysil and is best suited to experienced skiers who want more challenging skiing. Here you will find black slopes, high speed and runs that are popular among both active alpine skiers and skilled skiers.
Høgegga is a ski area, not a separate accommodation area. If you want easy access to Høgegga, you can choose accommodation in Trysil close to Turistsenteret or Fageråsen.
Skihytta
Skihytta is located on the south side of Trysilfjellet and offers long, sunny ski days, an express lift, children’s area, restaurants and skiing on blue and red slopes. The area has a calmer and more cabin-like feel than the most central parts of Trysil.
Skihytta is a good choice for families, groups and those who want to combine ski-in/ski-out, views, cabin atmosphere and proximity to both slopes and transport trails. See accommodation at Skihytta if you want to stay on the south side of Trysilfjellet.
