Bike Fjellrunden in Trysil

Fjellrunden is a varied biking route around Trysilfjellet, with gravel roads, easier trail sections, bridges and beautiful mountain terrain along the way. The route is ideal if you want a longer ride in Fageråsen Trail Park and are comfortable on both gravel and trail.

The recommended starting point for biking is Trysil Høyfjellssenter. From here, you get a natural start to the route and follow a wide gravel road via Grønskaret towards Skihytta. This section takes you across open marshland and wide wooden bridges.

Surface and level

Fjellrunden varies between easy-riding gravel roads, simpler mountain trail and shorter sections with bridges and boardwalks. Parts of the route are marked red, so the full route requires you to handle some steeper climbs and more demanding sections along the way.

Length and elevation profile

The route is 13.9 kilometres long, has 358 metres of elevation gain and reaches its highest point at 927 metres above sea level. This makes Fjellrunden a great option if you want a longer biking experience in the mountains, without the entire route feeling technically demanding.

Alternative route via Knettsetra

If you want to add a detour or choose an alternative variant, you can bike 134b past Trysilfjellet’s southern cabin area and Knettsetra, which serves food during the summer season.
