The SkiStar Lodge concept continues to evolve.In Hundfjället, Sälen, you will find SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället, which with the best possible central location and focus on comfort and relaxation, is a lodging to long for.

The development of the new Hundfjället is a step towards Sälen as an international mountain resort with state-of-the-art lodging with a high cosiness factor and the best location, Scandinavia's most modern 8-seater express lift, proximity to the airport Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR), new ski runs and expanded snow systems.

 

Ski-in-ski-out

SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället is centrally located in the middle of Hundfjällstorget with direct access to the two 8-seater express lifts West- and East Express. The location offers a unique ability to reach all of Hundfjället's ski slopes from one and the same square. After a day on the slopes, you can then easily and smoothly ski right from the mountain all the way to your door.

 

Tasteful and comfortable

The lodge has nearly 800 beds and a restaurant as well as a lounge bar. The same building also houses the SkiStarshop, Frost Pool and Sauna with sauna and gym, and Valles hygglo – a playroom that inspires children to enjoy movement and play together.

Our lodges always enjoy the best location, within a few metres of the nearest lift, and are tastefully designed with solid natural materials. The apartments are well equipped, with a well thought out floor plan, generous living areas and smart features.

Valle Family - unique Valle-themed apartments for families

SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället offers unique family apartments with a "snow" theme, decorated in colours and materials reminiscent of Valle's world. The idea of the apartments is to inspire socializing, movement and play in which the whole family can easily participate.

Mountain activities for the whole family!

For the younger members of the family, there's plenty of fun to be had in child-friendly Hundfjället, all gathered just a few steps away from SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället. Here, children can meet Valle, the world's cuddliest snowman, learn to ski with both Valle and his best friends the ski instructors, ride the SkiStar Fun Rides, visit the popular Troll Forest and much, much more. We also offer childcare and stroller care with fun and games while parents get some time on the slopes.

Pontus Frithiof's new restaurants at SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället 

Mondo and Pontus! in Sälen are the names of Pontus Frithiof and Nordrest's two restaurants at SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället. 

Pontus! in Sälen

At Pontus! in Sälen, guests are greeted by a warm and cosy international lodge atmosphere, where the tranquil Swedish mountain world meets the expressive North America – Sälen goes Colorado. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, with barbecue and sashimi taking centre stage, along with an equally extensive wine and champagne selection, signed by Pontus Group's head sommelier Mario E Moroni.

The restaurant also features a generously inviting bar for a sophisticated after-ski with refreshments straight from the champagne trolley.

 

Mondo 

Mondo, which means “the world” in Italian, has an exciting family-style concept, with dishes from different parts of the world's cuisine – a sharing concept for any occasion, for the whole family or a group of friends. Mondo invites you to a wonderful mountain hangout, exciting, expected and unexpected, but above all delicious.

Mondo's bar offers a more traditional, fast-paced après ski with a DJ beat and a drink menu of beers, shots and quality wines and cocktails served by the glass.

 

Conference

SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället has a state-of-the-art conference hall with six meeting rooms. It can accommodate a total of approximately 250 people, and the largest room can accommodate approximately 150 people. The rooms are equipped with the latest technology and have flexible solutions. SkiStar Lodge

In Lindvallen the lodge concept is already established, since 2003 there is SkiStar Lodge Experium, a high class central lodging right at the end of the ski slopes at Experiumtorget. There you'll find one of Europe's largest continuous children's and beginner areas, as well as more challenging skiing in the southern area of Lindvallen. In the same building is Experium, Sälenfjällen's large experience house, with water park, spa, relaxation area, restaurants, bowling and shopping.

Experium is easily accessible by Skid- and Badbussen, which runs at frequent intervals throughout SkiStar Sälen during the winter seasons and is free for all guests with a valid SkiPass.

Just 10 minutes' drive from Scandinavian Mountains International Airport, Hundfjället is the closest of SkiStar Sälen's ski areas.
