New SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället - Book winter 2021/2022 now!

The SkiStar Lodge concept continues to develop - close to the airport a brand new lodge is being built in Hundfjället, Sälen, and is expected to be completed in winter 2021/2022. With the best possible central location and focusing on comfort and relaxation, SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället will be lodging to yearn for.

The development of the new Hundfjället is a step towards Sälen becoming an international mountain resort offering state-of-the-art accommodation boasting a high degree of cosiness and top class ski-in, ski-out location, Scandinavia's most modern 8-seater express lift, proximity to the airport, new runs and extended snow-making facilities.

The new SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället will boast a central location on Hundfjällstorget square, with direct access to the two 8-seater express lifts East and West Express. The location offers a unique ability to reach all of Hundfjället's ski runs from a single square. After a day on the slopes, you can then easily and smoothly ski right from the mountain all the way to your door.

Tastefully designed and truly comfortable

The hotel will offer nearly 800 beds, a restaurant and a lounge bar. The same building will also host SkiStarshop and a playroom, while the Hundfjällscenter, with its gym and leisure facilities will be close by.

Travelling with the family should be easy - if you're looking for a truly comfortable and relaxing skiing holiday, the SkiStar Lodge is the lodging concept for you! Our lodges always enjoy the best location, within a few metres of the nearest lift, and are tastefully designed in solid natural materials. The apartments are well equipped with a well considered floor plan, generous living areas and smart features.

Family-friendly Hundfjället

There's also lots of fun to be had for younger members of the family in child-friendly Hundfjället, all just a stone's throw away from the SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället. Meet Valle, the world's cuddliest snowman, learn to ski with both Valle and his best friends, the ski instructors, take part in the SkiStar Fun Rides, visit the popular enchanted forest, Trollskogen, and much, much more! We also offer children's daycare and baby-minding, with fun and games for the little ones while their parents get the chance for some quality time on the slopes.

SkiStar Lodge

The Lodge concept is already well established in Lindvallen. The SkiStar Lodge Experium - a high-class, central lodging right at the end of the slopes on Experiumtorget - opened in 2003. There you'll find one of Europe's largest contiguous areas for children and beginners, as well as more challenging skiing in Lindvallen's southern area. In the same building you'll find Experium, the largest experience centre in the Sälen mountain area, which boasts - among other things - a water park, a spa, a relaxation area, restaurants, a cinema, bowling and shopping.

Experium is easy to get to via the Skid & Badbussen bus, which runs at frequent intervals throughout SkiStar Sälen and is free for all guests with a valid ski pass.

At just 10 minutes' travel time from the forthcoming Scandinavian Mountains international airport (SCR), Hundfjället will become the closest of SkiStar Sälen's ski areas.

The SkiStar Lodge Hundfjället will be ready for the 2020/21 season at the earliest, but you can experience the new Hundfjällstorget square in 360° right now!
