Our focus at SkiStar is on families, and our ski resorts have been especially tailored to ensure your whole family will enjoy your holiday. Many of our hotels, apartments and cabins are located right next to ski lifts and slopes so that all you have to do is put your skis on and glide straight onto the snow. A large number of locations also offer restaurants, shops, activities and entertainment options within walking distance.
Children's Ski School with Valle the Snowman
Valle's Ski School offers a unique ski school experience for all children aged 3 and above. The ski school teaches kids aged 3 to 9 to be safe and confident skiers, with Valle the Snowman and his best friends, the ski instructors. On completing ski school all children receive a special Valle Diploma with Valle's Rules of the Slopes and a ski proficiency certificate.

With Valle's app, children can practice Valle's Rules of the Slopes even before leaving home or while travelling up to the resort.
Children's activities in the skiing area
At all our ski resorts, children have a chance to meet Valle several days a week. Valle offers theatre, shows, après-ski, ski parades and much, much more. And best of all - all our children's activities are free of charge.

Valle's childcare
A number of our ski resorts offer childcare. The childcare facilities are located right by the ski slopes and all of our staff are trained children's activity leaders. We offer a safe environment where children can do art, watch films and play with other children. Baby-minding is available in Sälen for babies over 6 months old. You can leave your sleeping child in its buggy while you go skiing nearby.

Ski areas tailored to children
All our ski destinations offers large children's and beginner's ski areas. The slopes are gentle and the lifts are slow enough for everyone to get on without a problem. There are conveyor belts and practice lifts for the little ones and the slopes feature soft statues that help make it fun to practice turns and stops. Adjacent to the children's areas there are also heated shelters and toilets, so it's easy to take a break if your little one's legs get tired. In addition to the children's ski areas, many of our skiing destinations feature large button lift systems, which means that you can get to even the bigger slopes just by button lift.
Get in the holiday mood with Valle's App and Valle's Spotify playlist
Valle the Snowman has his very own app with games, music, story telling and much more. The app is available for both Android and iPhone and you'll find it wherever you download your apps. Valle also has his own Spotify playlist, full of perfect tunes to get in the holiday mood, which the children will then also recognise when they go to shows or après-ski in resort.
