Welcome to a cozy opening weekend at Vemdalsskalet Square from 26 to 29 November! Enjoy newly opened ski slopes, meet some of the industry's leading suppliers during the ski test, and discover the season's latest innovations on snow.

Ski premiere and ski test

Friday, 27 November marks the official start of the ski season as the lifts open for winter. After that, the lifts at Vemdalsskalet will operate Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm until 17 December*. See what's currently open and view lift opening hours »

The ski test, featuring a carefully selected group of suppliers, will be open on Friday and Saturday during lift operating hours. You're warmly welcome to try some of the season's newest equipment completely free of charge.

*Open daily from 18 December.

Christmas Market and Entertainment

Christmas Market at the Square

Experience a true Christmas atmosphere on Saturday, 28 November, from 11:00 to 15:30, when the square fills with crafts, baked goods, delicacies and unique products from nature. Pick up something delicious for your Christmas table, shop for gifts, or simply stroll among the market stalls and enjoy the wonderful winter ambiance.

Novemberkalaset

To top it all off, Vemdalsskalet Mountain Hotel invites you to Novemberkalaset, where Da Buzz and E-Type will take the stage and bring plenty of energy to the opening weekend. A perfect start to the winter season for the whole family! Read more about and buy tickets for Novemberkalaset

How to test skis

In order to be able to test skis and other products, you need to be a SkiStar Member. If you're not already a member, you can join now. Read more and become a member »

Once you become a member, you can continue according to the instructions:

  1. Download the SkiStar app. The app can be downloaded for both iPhone and Android.
  2. Log in
  3. Go to the Profile tab
  4. Select 'Member'
  5. Above your membership level, you will see a square with an arrow below. Swipe the square down to make your personal QR code visible.
  6. Show the QR code for the supplier whose products you want to try

Once you have finished trying, show the QR code to the supplier, who will then check that you have returned the product.

  • Cross-country skiing Vemdalen

    Vemdalen offers an extensive trail network with groomed cross-country tracks in both alpine terrain and forested areas. The trails are maintained regularly to ensure good conditions throughout the season and are located close to the ski areas.
