Rjukandefossen

Take a break from mountain hikes and experience the power of nature up close. Rjukandefossen is one of Hemsedal’s most accessible and impressive natural attractions, where you can quickly get close to a powerful waterfall.

A short, family-friendly hike that is suitable for everyone. The trail goes through forest and leads you to the waterfall with double water flow, surrounded by a gorge and exciting formations. You can also continue across a suspension bridge and explore the surrounding area.

Starting point and parking

The hike is located at Tuv, about 6 km from Hemsedal center along RV52. Park by the turnoff from the main road, and follow the short trail about 200 meters in to the waterfall.
