Industry rules

The Swedish Ski Areas Organisation (SLAO) is the ski area industry association in Sweden.

Important facts about lift-assisted downhill skiing/riding can be found in SLAO's guidelines Yellow book (winter) and Green book (summer).

Both the facility and the guest are responsible for ensuring that downhill skiing is a safe and fun experience for everyone. SLAO's guidelines "Yellow book" contains important information for downhill skiers along with general rules, in other words all the things you need to know about lifts and downhill skiing.

The Alpine Resorts National Organisation (Alpinogfjell) is the ski areas industry association in Norway.

Alpinogfjell's main focus areas include safety in all areas related to skiing and alpine activities, regardless whether it's alpine downhill, snowboard or cross-country, and the safe use of lifts.
