D3O® removable cover for the Skibotn 15L and fjørå 18L backpack models. The patented D3O® technology is based on non-Newtonian principles. Under normal conditions, the polymer chains in a non-Newtonian fluid flow freely.
This makes the material soft and flexible, but when subjected to blows or impacts, it locks and absorbs the energy. It only takes a few milliseconds for the polymer to immediately return to its flexible state.
