Topplocket is multifunctional and has a large and spacious compartment. Unplug it from the backpack and use as an extra compartment in the main compartment, or as a handy chest pocket mounted on the harness. Maybe you don't need that extra pack space for a lighter ride? Then you can leave the top cover in the base camp. Maybe you don't even need the hip belt? Unplug it and use the backpack without.
