Seger is a Swedish brand that was started in 1947 in Röshult/Gällstad by Gunnar Segerqvist under the name Gunnar Segerqvist Hemstickeri. The range consisted of long and short socks that were produced in a woodshed. The business is still run in Gällstad, and Seger is today a leading supplier of technically knitted socks and hats. Cooperation with successful sportsmen and women is something that has formed the basis of Seger’s business philosophy throughout the years, and thanks to Swedish sport success at an international level Seger has become known far beyond Sweden’s boundaries. Who can forget ‘Stenmark’s hat’ worn on the head of every man in 1974?
