In 1952 Hannes Marker developed a technique whereby the skier’s leg would automatically release itself from the toe part of a ski binding when the pressure on the knee reached a critical point. It marked the start of the brand Marker, and since then they have continued to make world-class ski bindings. In 2007, the ‘The Royal Family’ was introduced. That marked a new era for Marker and the brand quickly became dominant on the freeski market.
