Auric Cut Back country SPIN sets a new standard for on and off-piste safety for skiers and snowboarders. The helmet is equipped with POC's patent-pending system for rotational shock, SPIN, in which the interior cushions reduce the effects of a fall by reducing the force transmitted to the head and brain. SPIN works by allowing the pads inside the helmet to be moved in all directions in case of a sideways fall, a process inspired by the brain's own protection system with spinal fluid that dampens the shock inside the head if a fall occurs. This innovative and unique padding technique, in which the SPIN pads sit directly against the head, allows the helmet to move relative to the head during a fall and thus reduce the force transmitted to the brain. In addition to SPIN, the helmet also has an advanced impact resistant EPP lining that can withstand repeated shocks and a very heavy ABS shell that protects against penetration and guarantees safety and durability. The helmet also has a built-in Recco reflector which increases visibility during off-road riding. A size adjustment system gives a great and flexible fit. The ventilation openings on the front and top of the helmet can be adjusted for different weather conditions or for cross-country skiing.
