Uppåt Väggen (Up the Wall) 2026
Uppåt Väggen by EQPE is a recurring tradition in Hundfjället, Sälen, and takes place on Easter Saturday, 4 April 2026. The competition is open to children, youth and adults in the classes Lilla Uppåt Väggen, Uppåt Väggen Ungdom and Uppåt Väggen.
Mandatory advance registration for both the youth and adult classes. Start places will be released at a later date.
A spectator-friendly competition
The competition involves making your way up on foot and then descending the legendary slope Väggen on skis or a snowboard as quickly as possible.
If you are not taking part in the competition, it is just as enjoyable to be part of the audience on site.
Important information before participation
Specific competition rules apply in order to take part in Uppåt Väggen. These rules include requirements regarding age and equipment, the conduct of the competition, and circumstances that may lead to disqualification. All participants are responsible for familiarising themselves with and complying with the applicable rules.
Uppåt Väggen is a physically demanding competition that takes place at your own risk. As a participant, you are responsible for assessing your own ability, your equipment, and ensuring that you have appropriate insurance cover. Uppåt Väggen
A classic competition for adults aged 16 and over. Participants run up Väggen and then ski down through four penalty gates. Mass start applies, and the first to finish wins.
- Registration: Mandatory advance registration.
- Maximum participants: 80 – first come, first served.
- Entry fee: SEK 120
Uppåt Väggen Youth
A competition for youths aged 11–15, running half of Väggen. The class is conducted with timing and placings.
- Registration: Advance registration by a guardian is required.
- Maximum participants: 60 – first come, first served.
- Entry fee: SEK 60
Lilla Uppåt Väggen
A shorter version of Uppåt Väggen where children up to the age of 15 can take part. Access to the competition area from 10:45, with a mass start at 11:00.
