In the heart of Sweden's mountains, located between the largest ski resorts in Sweden and Norway – Sälen and Trysil – you will find the international airport Scandinavian Mountains Airport.
The international airport, Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR), is located just 10 minutes from the skiing in Hundfjället, 15 minutes from Tandådalen, 20-25 minutes from Högfjället and Lindvallen and 40 minutes from Trysilfjellet.
About Scandinavian Mountains Airport
The runway is 2,500 metres long and 50 metres wide and can accommodate most aircraft. Both international and domestic routes will operate to and from the airport. The 9,500 m2 terminal building has the capacity to handle four arrivals at once. The building houses a restaurant, a duty-free boutique and a shop.
Transfer
Transfers are timed to connect with each flight. The trip from the airport to Hundfjället/Tandådalen is only 10 minutes by transfer bus, while Högfjället takes 20 minutes and Sälfjällstorget/Lindvallen 25 minutes. The journey to Trysil and Fageråsen takes about 40 minutes.
Transfer by bus – choose between a private transfer (direct to your lodging) or a shared transfer (direct to the nearest check-in station for your lodging).
Transfer to Sälen by dog sled – a unique experience where you get to experience the mountains and the wilderness from a dog sled before you even reach your lodging.
Easy access on site too
Once in place at our ski resorts you'll stay in accommodation close to the slopes and all facilities imaginable, such as shops, ski rental, ski school and restaurants, all located within walking distance. If you want to travel between our ski areas in Sälen, it's easy with the Ski & Swim Bus (Skid och Badbussen), which is free for SkiPass holders. In Trysil, Norway's largest ski resort, both lodgings and restaurants are within skiing distance. Luxury hotels, modern lifts and the handy ski bus make holidaying here comfortable for the whole family.
