At the end of Trollskogen enchanted forest you will find Våffelstugan. The cosy log cabin serves waffles, hot chocolate, coffee and pastries in front of the open fire.

The Gammelgården restaurant, known for its wild game meat, has become a popular classic far beyond Sälen. Here you can enjoy delicious poultry, fish and wild game from northern Sweden - a true dining experience. This year, Gammelgården was even nominated as the Wild Game Restaurant of the Year.

For lunch, enjoy a really classic dish at Gammelgården! The Waffle Hut, dating back to the 1600s, was moved to its current location in 1945 from Malungsfors to Högfjällshotellet as a destination for the hotel’s guests. They’ve used the same waffle recipe for 100 years. And of course it's a secret... But we’ll give you a hint: we use sparkling water in the batter.

We are open in slightly different forms during winter, summer and autumn. Serving lunch, après-ski/bike, à la carte, pub & tavern from our own brewery. Our kitchen focuses on honest, ambitious cooking from scratch!

At Olarsgården you can enjoy the best that the mountain and the forest have to offer. The menu is tailored to based on seasonal ingredients.

Homemade pasta dishes in our deli, cold cuts, cheeses and delicious side dishes. Satisfying skier lunches with fresh pasta as a starting point, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options.
