Information regarding opening dates at our ski resorts 2020/2021

We will follow our normal schedule for opening our ski resorts for the winter season 2020/2021, which means that we will open as soon as we can offer good alpine skiing for our guests. We will closely adhere to recommendations issued by the Swedish Public Health Agency and the guidelines from trade associations and will continue to implement precautions and adapt our operations in the same manner we as for the last winter season. The well-being of our guests and employees will always come first and we will ensure that our environment feels safe for everyone who visits us.

 

What guarantees can SkiStar offer when I book accommodation, SkiPass, ski schools or ski rental now?

I own a cabin in Norway/Sweden and intend to buy SkiStar All, what happens if the borders are closed?

If a country closes its borders and this means that the SkiStar All pass cannot be used in full, we will create SkiStar All Sweden and SkiStar All Norway passes and offer a refund between the price of the original SkiStar All pass and a local season pass for Åre. Read more »

 

I live in Denmark and want to buy SkiStar All, what happens if Sweden/Norway closes its borders or Denmark prohibits entry from those countries?

If the SkiPass cannot be used for more than 2/3 of the period it is valid for, a refund will be issued in accordance with trade association (SLAO/ALF) guidelines. Read more »

 

What happens if we get quarantined at the destination?

We have a continuous dialogue with the healthcare provider at our ski resorts and adapt our operations accordingly. The well-being of our guests and employees will always come first and we will ensure that our environment feels safe for everyone who visits us. How can I avoid queues/crowds at the destination, such as on arrival/departure?

By pre-booking your SkiPass, ski rental and ski school at www.skistar.com. We're also working on the automation of our check-in/check-out processes by using key boxes/mobile check-ins to a larger extent. What happens if SkiStar is forced to close its facilities due to a decision by the government? 

In case this happens we will contact all affected guests and refund any part of the trip that guests have not been able to use. 

What happens if a guest arrives from a country where mandatory quarantine is enforced upon arrival to the destination, meaning products purchased cannot be used?

If you have booked a trip and cannot use all products purchased due to needing to quarantine at your destination, SkiStar will refund any parts of the trip that you have not been able to use. 

What happens if I need to go into quarantine when I return home from my trip?

SkiStar cannot assume responsibility in this case.
