You'll have snow all the way into May in the Scandinavian mountains with SkiStar's alpine snow guarantee

Is it really possible to go skiing in Sweden and Norway in early May? Yes! With our skiing destinations' geographical locations, and a boost from our snow cannons, it will be great!

When April approaches May and it almost feels like early summer in southern Sweden, the Scandinavian mountains show their best and most magical side – the winter spring. Nights of sub-zero temperatures preserve the snow well, and when the sun begins to warm up the day, the thermometer shows a few degrees above zero – perhaps enough for some to take off their jacket. In the afternoon, the slopes are wonderfully slushy and it almost feels like surfing on skis.

The restaurants' outdoor seating areas are filled with people and the après-ski live bands often move out into the spring sunshine. If we look back at snow conditions during previous seasons, there has been a good amount of snow in recent winters and the ski resorts have been able to open most of their lifts and slopes.
