Competition rules

To participate in Uppåt Väggen, you must familiarise yourself with the competition rules and important information. The competition is physically demanding and takes place at your own risk. It is your responsibility to assess whether you are capable of participating.

Participation Rules

  • You must have read and understood the important information before taking part.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent to participate.
  • All participants will receive a chip, which must be collected within the timeframe specified in the programme.
  • All equipment must pass an equipment check at least 15 minutes before the start – otherwise, you will not be allowed to compete.
  • All equipment must be securely fastened during the ascent.
  • Any equipment taken up must also be brought across the finish line (including straps, gloves, etc.).
  • Skis/snowboards must be at least 1 metre long, and a safety leash must be used where required.
  • An alpine helmet is mandatory.

Competition Procedure

  • The ascent must take place on the left-hand side of the net (when viewed from below).
  • At the top of the slope (or halfway for the youth category), participants must round the designated marker.
  • The descent must be made through gates on the right-hand side of the net:
    • Youth category: 2 gates
    • Adult category: 4 gates
  • The maximum competition time is 60 minutes.

Additional Rules

  • SkiStar AB and its partners accept no responsibility for damage to equipment or injuries sustained by participants.
  • SkiStar AB reserves the right to capture images and film the competition, and the material may be used for marketing purposes.
  • Non-approved equipment = no start.
  • Participation is entirely at your own risk.
  • Failure to follow the rules will result in automatic disqualification.
