Trysil offers varied mountain scenery, with trails for the whole family. With a touch of luck, you may come across elk, roe deer, grouse and other wildlife along the way.
Hiking trails on and around the mountain, Trysilfjellet
Trysilfjellet 1132 South (Trail 30)
On Trysilfjellet you'll find Trysil's most popular hiking trails. The peak is at 1132 metres above sea level and the view is stunning in clear weather. The shortest route up approaches from the south side, but also it's also the steepest. Length: 3.6 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 307 m. Highest point: 1132 m above sea level
Trysilfjellet 1132 North (Trail 31)
On Trysilfjellet you'll find Trysil's most popular hiking trails. The peak is at 1132 metres above sea level and the view is stunning in clear weather. The longest route up approaches from the north side, but also it's also the gentlest incline. Length: 5.2 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 203 m. Highest point: 1132 m above sea level
Skurufjellet (Trail 38)
This hike begins at the Høyfjellssenteret in Fageråsen. The first 400 metres are on asphalt, the next 1.1 km are along a dirt road and then the path becomes a beautiful natural trail. Length: 6.4 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 227 m. Highest point: 1044 m above sea level
Trysilrypa Short (Trail 32)
This trail heads through Fageråsen's beautiful high mountain terrain. Length: 6 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 175 m. Highest point: 947 m above sea level
Trysilrypa Long (Trail 33)
This hike will give you a true feeling of the mountains and an incredible view. Length: 13 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 322 m. Highest point: 933 m above sea level
Trysilrypa 10K (Trail 34)
A tough hike that will take you almost all the way up Trysilfjellet mountain. Length: 10.4 km round trip. Total vertical gain: 470 m. Highest point: 1100 m above sea level
Top 10 Trysil
Top 10 Trysil is a summit tour programme. Trysil's wonderful mountains are also suitable for small children.
On every summit there is a green box containing a visitors' book, summit tour cards and clippers. Clip a hole in your summit tour card on each peak you climb, and when you have ascended 10 summits, you will receive a certificate. Your certificate is free of charge and can be collected from the Trysil Tourist Office or welcome centres at Turistsenteret. In addition, you'll be entered into a draw for top prizes if you submit your fully clipped summit tour card.
