01 – EASY RIDER – BLUE, partially machine-dug trail
5,004 metres of pure cycling joy through Åre’s breathtaking high zone, from the top station of the Kabinbanan all the way down to Hummeln. A broad, machine-dug trail unparalleled in all of Scandinavia with multiple velodromes and an almost magical flow. Suitable for riders of all levels, from world champs to first time riders.
02 – HÄLLRAJD – BLACK
The Hell Ride is a black expert trail exclusively over Åreskutan’s bare cliffs in the high zone. Fully loaded with natural obstacles, drops, steep downhills and stone blocks. Hell for beginners, but a hell of a ride for advanced cyclists. A true Åre classic!
03 – 1000-METERSLEDEN – RED
The 1000 Meter Trail was the first Åreskutan trail built for freerides, and almost 20 years later it is still great fun. A technical, rocky single-track that really puts your pathfinding and corner-rounding to the test. But don't forget to enjoy the view on the way down.
04 – HJULINGEN – RED
The Wheeler is a wide, rolling trail that takes you from the bare mountain down to the World Cup Plateau. Fast-paced, rocky and sometimes technically difficult but still allows you to roll down relaxed, if you prefer.
05 – SVARTBERGET – BLACK
The "Black Mountain" is to be enjoyed sensibly; don’t let the view steal your focus away from your cycling! This is a rocky and very technical trail along the enchanting Svartbergskanten. Your choice of path and concentration is everything.
06 – WORLDCUP-LEDEN – GREEN
The World Cup Trail is a long transport trail from Hjulingen to the Hummel Lift valley station. Many of the area’s nicest trails connect to and from this World Cup Trail.
07 – RÖDKULLESTIGEN – BLUE
The "Redhill Trail" is a intermediate difficulty single-track across mountain heather, parallel to the World Cup Trail down to the World Cup Plateau.
08 – ORGANIC – BLUE
Organic connects the mountain station of the Hummel Lift with the VM8:an plateau. A short, quick trail with some small jumps.
09 – ÅREVÄGEN – GREEN
The Åre Path is an easy and quick transport trail taking you all the way from Rödkullevägen to Kabinbanan and VM6:an.
10 – BRÄCKEBÄCKSLEDEN – RED
Scandinavia's prettiest single-track? A rolling trail on perfect ground that winds through lush birch woods, magical waterfalls, singing streams and goes all the way down to the VM8:an valley station. 400 vertical metres of the finest cycling to be found.
11 – FRENCH CONNECTION – RED
A narrow and technical single-track taking you from the upper part of Bräckebäcksleden to the lower part of Månskogen.
12 – BRÄCKESVÄNGEN – GREEN
This is an undemanding and fun detour from Bräckevägen with elegant turns and a nice flow. Perfect for beginners who want to test their wings with a more technical ride.
13 – MÅNSKOGEN – BLUE
The "Moon Forest" Trail is a wide and smooth single-track with velodrome curves and jumps, taking you from the World Cup Plateau down to Solstigen. Lots of beautiful curves in an equally beautiful setting. Perfect for the intermediate cyclist.
14 – GETRAPPET – BLUE
The “Goat Snap” is a continuation of Månskogen, starting at Solstigen, and is one of the most popular trails at Åreskutan. A smooth single-track with great curves that is easy to cycle, but difficult to ride really fast. A challenge for all levels of cyclists!
15 – SHIMANO – RED
This machine-dud trail might be one of Åreskutan’s most infamous trails – and for good reason! Shimano is a 3,300 metre long machine-dug trail full of large velodrome turns and around 50 huge jumps. This is an adrenaline filled, laugh-inducing ride all the way down to Stjärntorget.
16 – VÄSTRA STJÄRNVÄGEN – RED
The "West Star" Trail is narrow and lovely with a great sense of speed. Loaded with natural obstacles like rocks and roots. Here your sense of pathfinding and speed control will be of utmost importance. Another classic Åre trail that’s been cycled on since the dawn of time.
17 – DOWNHILLBANAN – BLACK
Åre’s downhill competition track starts up at Hummeln with a set of steep turns in soft mountain mud and continues straight through a super technical section of rock.
You can also swing onto the DH track at the VM6:an mountain station and take on a narrow, fast and technical challenge that will hold you in its grip until you’re down at Stjärntorget. One of Åre’s most challenging trails. Sweden’s own elite riders do the trail in under 4 minutes. What is your time?
18 – VM-VÄGEN – GREEN
The "World Cup" Way is a transport trail from Hummeln down to the World Cup Trail. A great way to easily get to Månskogen.
19 – ÖRNNÄSTET – BLUE
20 – RYDBERGS DROPP – BLACK
The Rydberg Drop is one of the most technical trails at Åreskutan – short but grueling. It made up the beginning of the World Cup circuit in 1999 and is even harder today than it was back then. The steep start finishes with a drop onto Rydberg’s Path.
21 – RYDBERGS VÄG – BLUE
Rydberg’s Path is a wonderful single-track that offers some of the most open views on the mountains as you’re taken around Örnnästet down to the World Cup Trail along some pretty technical ground.
22 – RIPBRANTEN – BLACK
The “Grouse Verge” is a legendary cycling trail, and is one of the remaining parts of Åre’s classical World Cup circuit. Terribly steep, narrow, rocky and tremendously technical single-track that finishes at the World Cup Lift top station. Defeat it and feel, justifiably, like a world champion!
23 – UFFES – RED
A fun and challenging trail with tight corners and sweet little jumps. The entry can be a bit daunting at first.
24 – BRÄCKEVÄGEN – GREEN
An undemanding transport trail taking you from the World Cup Trail down to Årevägen.
25 – LRF-VÄGEN – GREEN
A transport trail from Bräckebäcksleden and Getrappet back to Kabinbanan and VM6:an.
26 – SERPENTINEN – GREEN
The Serpentine is a long but undemanding trail from VM6:an that takes you via the Hummel Lift valley station down to Stjärntorget. A first encounter with downhill cycling for beginners, and a fine one at that.
27 – FLINBANAN – RED
The “Grin Trail” is a machine-dug trail that is Åreskutan’s most cycled trail. It begins right off VM6:an and ends down by Fjällgården. A rolling machine-dug trail of jumps and velodrome turns that attract with plenty of sweet G-forces. The name comes from the feeling after completing the ride. There’s no point in trying to keep back that grin!
28 – LILLA BLÅ – BLUE
The machined Little Blue Trail is one of Åreskutan’s most popular trails, a bit like a twisted two-wheel rollercoaster. A machined trail with velodrome turns and jumps of just the right size, that can even be rolled over if you prefer.
29 – NELSON – BLACK
A very steep and, in certain parts, extremely technical single-track surrounded by lovely pine forest. A trail with a high demand on guts, concentration and technique. Only for the advanced - others need not apply.
30 – TJÄRNIS STIG – BLACK
A narrow and curvy single-track that sets out at Solstigen and meets up with the DH trail above Stjärntorget. Sometimes very steep and filled with tons of awesome switchbacks that puts your cycling technique to the test.
31 – KÄLKSPÅRET – BLUE
The Sledging Track is Åre’s classic sledge track that blossoms during the summer to bridge Flinbanan and Lilla Blå with Fjällängen along a series of nice high-speed turns. You can also take a left at Hyddan to jump all the way down to the square along Bergbanan.
32 – KANONRÖRET – RED
The Cannon Tube is a short but challenging trail with built-up wall rides and wooden bridges.
33 – JANNES RYGG – BLACK
“Janne’s Back” is a short and very steep trail over plenty of roots. Technically demanding but good training for bigger challenges, higher up on the mountain.
