The Project series is designed to cope with Åre's (Extrem's home mountain) demanding and varied snow conditions. Project 83 is a brand new ski and will also be the most piste-oriented in the range. The ski is designed for those who want a slightly narrower all-mountain ski with very good performance and edge grip, but which also has a playful riding feel. The ski is based on Extrem's two hugely successful skis Project 90 and 100, but has been adapted to optimise piste characteristics. The advantage over a pure piste ski is that Project 83 works just as well on hard pistes as when the snow is falling in heavy sheets or for slushy pistes at Easter. The fact that the skis are based on an all-mountain geometry with tip and tailrocker also means you can choose whether you want to go at full speed when carving or if you want to slow down and easily slide past the steep sections of the piste.
