Under Armour

The idea behind Under Armour came about when the captain of the University of Maryland’s football team, Kevin Plank, noticed that the T-shirts used by his team under their protection became heavy and soaked with sweat. He began designing his own prototypes and, following feedback from his team mates, developed Under Armour’s now revolutionary microfibre T-shirts. In just two decades, Under Armour has gone from being an idea, to one of the world’s most innovative brands for functional clothing, and is today used by athletes the world over. The garments are divided into three lines, HeatGear for hot weather, ColdGear for cold weather and AllSeason Gear for everything in between.
