K2
The K2 story started over 50 years ago on Vashon Island in Washington State. At a time when Europe ruled the ski world, the engineer Bill Kirschner was firmly convinced that North Americans could build a fantastic ski. By using the same fibreglass technology used in braces, he developed the first modern ski with a structure based on an inner core covered with fibreglass or carbon fibre. It was the first draft of the ski as we know it today. K2 is today a ski brand that, together with icons such as Seth Morrison and Shane McConkey, has repeatedly taken design and technology to new heights.
