Europe’s biggest continuous children’s area with pommel lifts makes it easy for younger riders to make progress on skis or snowboard. When the kids are tired of amusing themselves, they can test themselves in ski competitions on the runs or try out some of the activities at the Snowman Club.

Children’s skiing in Lindvallen With runs like Ola, Kajsa, Anna, Max and Björne, children get to find their way around easily and discover their own routes down the slopes. The biggest children’s area is at Kråkanberget, close to Snötorget, and it’s easy for parents to keep an eye on their offspring here. This area extends as far as Gustavbacken and the Nordpolen children’s area. Both Kråkanberget and Nordpolen have belt conveyors, making it easy for the younger ones to get up the slopes. Naturally, we also have an area called Sydpolen, far out to the east of our ski field by Express 303. When the whole family wants to drop down a gear, Snowman’s Valley is the perfect spot. Located below the Snowman’s Castle and to the west of Gustavbacken, it has everything from an easy lift to a sledging slope and a wind shelter with barbecue. There’s a good beginners’ area near to Sälfjällstorget too, complete with a good ski school. Belt conveyors and simple pommel lifts make the first days of skiing as easy as making a snowball.
Snowman’s Castle Something that we and all the snowmen in Sälen are very proud of is the Snowman’s Castle, our adventure zone where the snowmen rule. You’ll have fun skiing through toadstools and logs and you’re sure to meet at least one snowman on your journey down the mountain. The Snowman’s Castle is close to Gustavbacken and you can reach it via the “Tjädern” lift or the “Gustav III”.
