The ski area in Högfjället isn’t big, but it’s perfect for kids and parents who want to be able to relax. The natural assembly point is down below in the valley, where all the runs converge. In Högfjällsvaggan there are also lunchtime eating places, cafés and warm shelters, plus ample opportunities to soak up the sun.
The children’s slopes in Högfjället are to the south and it’s a good place to let kids ski by themselves while parents tackle the longer runs from the summit of Högfjället. By the end of the week the parents tend to acquire a social circle up on the big runs!
Högfjället’s ski school is a small ski school with a professional approach to children and skiing. The ski school has its own area with a simple pommel lift and belt conveyor where you can safely leave your children and enjoy some good skiing just round the corner.
