Height, weight and foot length Naturally a boot must be of the right size for it to be comfortable and offer good stability. It is also important that the equipment is suitable for your weight and height if it’s going to feel right on the slopes. Adjusting your ski bindings according to your weight is essential for safe skiing; if you take a real tumble, the boot must release from the binding to prevent you from twisting or breaking your leg. When you hire equipment, we tailor it to you and your skiing.
When you tell us your foot size, we don’t use the normal boot sizes because they can vary quite considerably. Instead, measure the length of your foot in centimetres – don’t add anything and don’t subtract anything. We add a margin so that you get a boot that will fit perfectly. And if you should unexpectedly find your feet are hurting, just come into one of our hire shops and switch to another boot.
