 – This is an immensely important venture for us and a major investment in tourism in Sweden. Sälen is already the single largest tourist destination in Scandinavia and with Experium we will be able to offer our guests sensations to surpass expectations, says Urban Jansson, Managing Director Experium AB.
An extraordinary entertainment centre at Snötorget in Lindvallen
The idea behind Experium is to offer an entertainment centre for visitors of all ages, but the main target group is families. In Experium the visitors will be able to play bowling, go to the cinema, enjoy spa treatments, dance and eat food from all over the world. Experium tempts with an unrivalled waterpark, featuring the only Flowrider in Sweden, where the visitors can try surfing indoors and also one of the largest sauna worlds in the country. The children will also find a play land, spread over two stories and measuring 750 square metres.
Everything, from the building itself and the activities therein will be unique in their kind. The building is designed in wood with an advanced structure which has posed challenging demands on the architects as well as the construction company. The team of architects have, based on SkiStar’s specifications strived to create truly unique sensations. The surroundings mountains have inspired the design of the building which blends in with the surroundings.

The background for the initiative includes the significant number of visitors to Sälen, and also SkiStar’s desire to offer the visitors something extraordinary. The first sod for Experium was turned on 31 March and the entertainment centre is scheduled for completion on 13 December 2009.
