Lindvallen can be likened to an amusement park with snow. Ordinary families come here so that they can go home again extraordinarily cheerful after an action-packed week. It’s easy to get high when the place is teeming with contented kids of all ages. They have fun and games with the ski instructors, delight in skiing by themselves on the runs or take a break with piping hot chocolate. And that’s not to mention all the parents heading for the “Topprestaurang Snögubben” on the mountain top to savour the restaurant’s goulash soup, those learning something new at ski school or the ones who simply enjoy the pleasant sensation of relaxing.
Adventure is far more important than one-upmanship on Lindvallen’s slopes. The main thing is to have the best possible time, not to make the prettiest turns. Lindvallen is built up around three central squares strung out along the mountain, where ski runs of all the various levels succeed one another. The three squares are the Snötorget (Ski Lodge, ICA, Stadium, McDonalds etc.), the Gustavtorget (Wärdshuset, Gustav Bar & Kök, Fjällbagarn etc.) and the Sälfjällstorget (Kaisers Skidbod, Volvo, Handlarn, La Piazza etc.).
Welcome to the Snowman’s winter paradise, Lindvallen!
