Practise with easy searcher

Hemsedal is the only ski centre in Norway to offer the opportunity to train with Easy Searcher, an avalanche search training system using electronic senders & receivers. Bring a friend and try it. It only takes a few minutes, it’s free and we promise you will benefit from the experience.

The system is based on a series of boxes buried in the snow. These boxes are equipped with sensors that send a signal to a control panel when they are touched by, for example a search pole. The control panel responds to eventual contact with an alarm and flashing light.

You can choose the level of difficulty of your search. At the end of the exercise you can register your time taken to locate all of the “avalanche victims”. Bring your friends and you can compete against each other in the search. The system will be in operation during the whole winter season.

The system is located at the top of Hollvin express lift and is self-service.
